Reduces negative behaviors of acting out or shutting down, by teaching tools to be successful in the classroom, at home, and with peers. Helps teenagers find positive ways to manage their feelings (such as anxiety, anger, grief), so your teen can learn how to cope with stress and feel more self-confident. Uses a teen’s inherent creativity to find solutions to the problems they are encountering, without medications and therapy diagnoses.  Teaches parents strategies and tools that REALLY WORK so you can reconnect and even ENJOY your teen!

Effective communication skills, so you won’t resort to yelling as a way to be heard, Creative problem solving, so your teen doesn’t give up, shut down, or become stressed out when they encounter a problem, Positive relationships, so your teen can easily cope with frustrations and communicate better, whether it’s school related, friend related, with siblings, or with you. Behavior management skills, so your teen learns new strategies instead of yelling, acting out, withdrawing, whining, tantrums, or pouting to get their needs met. A positive sense of self-esteem. As your teen learns to positively get their needs met they feel happier, more confident, and they will continue to use these skills as life long tools. Phase 1 Action (month 1-3) 1st month: Weekly 50 minute sessions: Assessment Adolescent and parent meeting Identifying the problem Rating the problem Individual and/or family meeting teaching self-regulation tools Parent-adolescent check-in with homework Weekly in between sessions phone follow-up 2nd month: Bi-monthly 50 minute sessions: Adolescent  and parent meeting Rating the problem  Individual and/or family meeting teaching self-regulation tools Parent-adolescent  check-in with homework Weekly in between sessions phone follow-up 3rd month: Bi-monthly 50 minute sessions: Adolescent and parent meeting Individual and/or family  client meeting teaching self-regulation tools Parent-child check-in with homework Weekly in between sessions phone follow-up Phase 2 Practice (month 4-6) 4th month: One monthly 50 minute sessions: Adolescent and parent meeting Individual and/or family meeting teaching self-regulation tools Parent-adolescent check-in with homework Weekly electronic symptom checklist follow-up 5th month: One monthly 50 minute sessions: Adolescent and parent meeting Individual and/or family meeting teaching self-regulation tools Parent-adolescent check-in with homework Weekly electronic symptom checklist follow-up 6th month: One monthly 50 minute sessions: Adolescent and parent meeting Individual and/or family meeting teaching self-regulation tools Parent-adolescent check-in with homework Weekly electronic symptom checklist follow-up Phase 3 Maintenance (month 6-12) Three 50 minute sessions to use over the 6 month period as needed Two 50 minute parent support phone calls as needed Weekly electronic symptom checklist follow-up 52 weeks of symptom check-in and support. 16 hours of direct client and parent support. 12 months of client and family support.
